New Managing Director Signifies Start of a New Era at Holliday Pigments

A new Managing Director at Holliday Pigments signifies the start of a new era for the world’s leading manufacturer of Ultramarine Blue.

Glyn Jagger, the company’s former Operations Director, has been promoted to take on the role, overseeing the UK as well as its main manufacturing facility in Comines, France.

Following the recent structural changes at the company, Glyn will play an instrumental part in helping to consolidate Holliday Pigments’ premier position in the Ultramarine market.

“The last few years have proved difficult for Holliday Pigments, finally resulting in the painful decision to close manufacturing at our Hull site in the UK,” says Derick Whyte, Chief Executive of Yule Catto’s Impact Chemicals Division, of which Holliday Pigments is now a part.

“Throughout this stressful period Glyn has shown the vision, determination and leadership skills required to meet the challenges of operating in a truly global and very competitive market place.

“I wish him every success in his new role and look forward to working with him as we enter this new and exciting phase in the company’s development.”

Glyn graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Chemistry and has gained 20 years experience in R+D and operations. He joined Holliday Pigments’ parent company, Yule Catto, in 1998 and has held a range of senior technical, managerial and operations roles within the organisation.

“This is a pivotal time for Holliday Pigments and I will embrace the challenge whole-heartedly,” says Glyn. “We are currently working towards significant performance improvements across the entire company and I am keen to put these into place at the soonest opportunity.”
