Holliday Pigments' New Pink Plant Triples Capacity

HOLLIDAY PIGMENTS has ramped up production of its Ultramarine pink, delivering triple the capacity to its global customer base.

An initial €200K investment in new reactor technology has provided the company with more efficient and environmentally friendly state-of-the-art facilities. Innovative features include a new filtration system that reduces soluble salts to a minimum and a reactor enabling tighter control of consistency in the manufacturing process. New technology has also been employed to eradicate any likelihood of HCl gas leakage and the use of potentially harmful organic flocculants during the ‘washing’ process.

“This investment in improving our pink production facilities is part of our ongoing strategy to consolidate Holliday Pigments’ premier position in the Ultramarine market,” says newly appointed Managing Director, Glyn Jagger.

Following the closure of its UK manufacturing base in Hull, Holliday Pigments’ is currently focussing on delivering significant performance improvements across the entire company.

“We’re constantly reviewing our product offerings and facilities in order to meet the challenges of operating in a truly global and very competitive market place,” says Glyn. “This is just the first of a long line of initiatives to support our higher value products and I look forward to bringing news of further developments in the very near future.”

Holliday Pigments, best known for its signature Ultramarine Blue, offers the widest range of ultramarine and manganese violet pigments in the world today. Continuous research and development into the launch of high performance versions of its stable products, keeps the company at the very forefront of innovation, most recently announcing the development of its improved acid resistance grades - Premier XAR for plastics and Grade 59 for wider coatings applications.
